Zhujiang New Town Dental Clinic
The Zhujiang New Town Dental Clinic, Hospital of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University is a 5100 square-meter modern outpatient dental facility, equipped with 69 dental chairs, located in the Dragonfly Building at No.49 Huaxia Road in the Central Business District of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. It is equipped with world-class digital dental technology, including dental operating microscopes, dynamic navigation systems, 3D printing and CAD/CAM systems.
It is a key training base for general dentistry; bringing together more than 100 highly skilled dental and nursing staff, forming a well-structured team with strong academic and clinical expertise. The team includes 15 senior specialists, 29 middle-level dentists and 16 junior dental staff. Among them are four PhD supervisors and 10 master's degree supervisors, with 90% of the professional dental staff holding doctoral research degrees. More than 10 dentists have overseas study experience at world-renowned universities, such as Harvard University, National University of Singapore, University of Queensland, University of Sydney, New York University, Columbia University, University of Illinois, Hokkaido University and University of Groningen.
The clinic has an established and mature multidisciplinary joint diagnosis and treatment system, achieving full coverage of dental specialties. This integrated approach provides a solid foundation for delivering high-quality personalized care of an internationally recognized standard and reduces the hassles of the need of traversing between specialties commonly found in hospitals.

The clinic is distinguished by its one-stop care model, centered on a Multi-disciplinary Treatment (MDT) approach. It is one of the pioneering clinics to introduce a range of innovative technologies in Guangdong Province. It is organized as three core diagnosis and treatment clinics to provide one-stop and comprehensive dental services. The Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment Center integrates the specialties including Endodontics, Periodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Prosthodontics to address common dental issues such as caries, toothache, gingival swelling, gum disease, tooth wear, wisdom tooth extraction, and prosthodontic and implant restorations. The Center for Whole-cycle Occlusal Development in Children and Facial Management in Adolescents covers two distinctive specialties of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, providing integrated management of primary tooth health, dentition transition, dental alignment and facial development starting from the primary dentition stage. The Digital Implant and Restoration Center combines Implantology, Prosthodontics and Periodontics. It is recognised as the domestic standard in digital implant and restorative technologies, providing precise, minimally invasive and efficient digital implant restoration for clinically demanding highly complex dento-facial restorations.
These three centers work in synergy to address a wide spectrum of dental treatment needs, delivering comprehensive and individualized clinical services. With digital diagnostics and Multi-Disciplinary Treatment at its core, the clinic has pioneered advanced technologies such as microscopic apical surgery, implant procedures using dynamic robotic navigation, and early orthodontic treatment for children. Leveraging on its high-quality resources, the clinic ensures a dental care experience defined by precision, minimal invasiveness, efficient personalized patient care and comfort.
